What would Burton And Liz wear to Cleopatra’s Premiere Today at Cannes?

Probably something like this:

Burton And Liz in Tarun Tahiliani:

Liz In Chanel:

‘Cleopatra,’ a spectacle on- and off-screen

There was the spectacle, the runaway budget, the fights with the studio. But almost everyone thinks about the 1963 movie “Cleopatra” for one thing: Liz and Dick.

In the Chinese zodiac, 2013 is the Year of the Snake. The snake was Cleopatra’s talisman and it is her year, too: it has been half a century since 20th Century Fox nearly went bankrupt from the staggering production costs of their historical epic version. Theda Bara, Claudette Colbert, Vivien Leigh and Monica Bellucci have all stepped into the role of the politically savvy seductress, but none captured the cunning queen of Egypt quite like the legendary Elizabeth Taylor, in Joseph L. Mankiewicz’s 1963 adaptation (a restored 50th anniversary edition DVD and Blu-ray is out next week and includes never-seen lost footage and commentary by Martin Landau among its featurettes). The newly restored original cut also premieres at Cannes and in select theaters next week.

What was Elizabeth Taylor's education? My friend is doing a bio on her (She's a fan of hers) and she doesn't really know what to put for her education because she knows so little of it.

Omg really?? that sounds so exciting. Is she a published author?? And to answer your question, Elizabeth didn’t have much of an education. She went to regular school in England for a year or two, and when she began working in films at 9 she was put in the MGM school, which everyone knows was a huge joke. Classes lasted for like 15 minutes, the actors had classes in between takes, they had no distinction between ages so you had 9 year olds having classes with 15 year olds, it was bad, and she graduated from it and didn’t go to college so that was her education.

Of course, she was naturally smart and the lack of a formal education didn’t really affect her in life, she was very street smart, in spite of her sheltered life believe it or not, and when she was with Richard Burton something definitely rubbed off, he was such an incredible intellectual and she did pick up reading at that time and an interest in learning, but her formal education was very poor at best.
